Ultrasound-Guided Joint and Soft Tissue Injections

At Cleveland Health Center, we use real-time ultrasound guidance to help make injections more precise and more comfortable. Ultrasound allows us to visualize the joint, tendon, bursa, or targeted soft tissue in real time, so we can place medication exactly where it's intended rather than relying on surface landmarks alone.

What conditions can this help?

Ultrasound-guided procedures may be used to support relief and recovery for many common musculoskeletal concerns, including:

• Joint pain and inflammation in areas such as the knee, shoulder, hip, and other joints
• Bursitis (for example, trochanteric bursitis at the hip)
• Tendon and soft tissue inflammation
• Piriformis-related pain
• Selected back-related pain concerns, depending on the location and diagnosis

What types of injections do you offer?
